Well if the end of the world predictions are true, this might be the last post of Mysterious Societies and for that matter, all blogs......
According to The E Bible Fellowship Website this Saturday May 21, 2011 is the official start date of the end of time. The website explains that this is all part of an extensive Biblical "calendar" that has identified history as we know it, and also what is to come....apparently starting Saturday. Yes, according to
Family Radio Worldwide, an independent Christian ministry their leader, Harold Camping, has calculated the May 21st date based on his reading of the Bible. He's mapped out the dates and the messages contained in Genesis, I think particularly chapters 5 and 7 and has come to the conclusions that the end is not only nigh, it's here!!
"2011 AD—On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation. On October 21st, the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation)."
It's actually kind of scary stuff. I am far from a scholar and far from knowing anything about this stuff, other than reading what I would consider to be less than the minimum to really understand the situation. However, it sound like God's Elect people will be going to Heaven, starting Saturday and those of us left behind, well we are going to burn up on October 21st.
According to ABC News, Harold Camping took a stab at predicting the date once before, calling for the End of Days to be Sept. 6, 1994. That error has been attributed to some miscalculations of the calendar.
I dunno, might be a good time to start praying, or perhaps buy a new vehicle with all the options, just make sure you do one of the no money down deals and pay for it over time....you never know your luck. On the other hand, I can't help think you just might end up having to pay it all off if the end of time doesn't happen accroording to Harold Campings predictions.
So that's it....might be the last post. Kind of sad, I was enjoying this job. If I'm not back next week and you are still here....sucks to be you.
