I have written quite a bit about secret societies here, mostly because that is the title of this website...but I digress...I write about these organizations because to be honest, they interest me. There is something deep and hidden even today about groups like the Masons, The Priory of Sion, Knight's Templar, etc etc that gives a person lots to think about. One thing I am thinking about lately is Osama Bin Laden's organization, Al Qaeda, who even though bin laden likes to say are more of an idea as opposed to an organization are actually a very secret organization, spread all over the world, much like the ones we write about, like the Masonic Lodge. Now I am not comparing Al Qada to the Masonic Lodge, but I am comparing the idea of an organization, that is world wide, and for all intents and purposes secret, save for what they want the world to know about them.
In a recent New York Times article, Steven N. Simon, a senior fellow for Middle Eastern affairs at the Council on Foreign Relations compared Al Qada to a franchise, like MacDonalds for instance. An organization with mutal goals, spread around the world, which, like I said, is not unlike the Masons. There are Masonic Lodges all over the world who, although they are all Masons, don't necessarily have much communication or dealings with the rest of them, except for special occasions, but yet, they all benefit from each other, or have the potential to benefit.
Mr Simon said, (Ok I wish I hadn't written it like that...) in relation to the recent failed terrorist attack at Christmas and bin Laden's recent release about it, that bin laden was careful in his words, not exactly taking credit for the attack, but yet, letting the world know he supports it.
“A franchise, just like McDonald’s, is supposed to create mutual benefits. The benefit for bin Laden is he gets to associate himself with this attack. The benefit for the regional group is it gets to use the Al Qaeda name for fund-raising and recruiting.”
So...with that in mind, imagine trying to track down and deal with all the Masons, Roscrucians, Knight's Templars, and so on throughout the world. It would be nigh on impossible, in fact, I dare say it would be impossible. Which is why, it is so difficult to round up Al Qada. It's not like they all meet at the local pub on Saturday night to plan their next terror attack, and if they did, there is no saying there is not another group of them with similar ideas, meeting at another local pub in another town somewhere, coming up with some equally nefarious scheme.
It won't be until the world shifts, and I don't know what that means, except to say major changes in the way everyone thinks have to happen. Until we stop fighting with one another and stop exploiting one another, and put aside the mother and fathers of all problems, religious ideas and financial ideas. When we all come together in the same group, with the same ideals, that we will bring an end to this stuff, and frankly, I don't think that will ever happen....
In the meantime, we can study Al Qada, look at their organization, and compare them to other secret organizations, could be interesting.
Sorry for the rant.....
