Have I missed something, or has the whole Princess Diana was murdered conspiracy theory gone cold? It's been months since I have heard or read any recent discussion, in fact, it seemed to end following the court investigation obtained by the father of Dodi al Fayed, Mohammed al Fayed. There was quite a bit of information brought out in that inquiry, although in the end there was apparently nothing to prove anything conclusively. Therefore, the British Royal Family and others involved in the umm... "situation" were more or less absolved of being found to have any part in what has been called an accident brought on by excessive speed and a driver who was possibly tipsy.
The story was strange from the get-go and certainly had elements that could be construed to show some signs of outside hands controlling the action. There were also some strange things that occured following the car crash that claimed the lives of the driver Andre Paul as well as Diana and her boyfriend Dodi. The facts have been talked about over and over again, including on this website, so I am not going go at it again, at least not now. But I was wondering if there has been any further developments or if the inquiry brought an end to the rumors, inuendoes and conspiracy theories?
Like so many things that have happened in the past, the truth, the real truth is hard to come by, regardless of whether or not there is an actual, real cover-up. Facts get distorted over time, witnesses forget, or remember things they have been told instead of things they have seen, and so it goes. Investigating something like a car crash that happened years ago is difficult, even if the victims were well known and famous. And of course...if there was a cover-up, that does not make investigating any easier, because if people do know something, there is little likelyhood that they are going to tell what they know, especially with something as important or far reaching as this would become, if it did turn out to be true.
At this point, although I have my own ideas about it, I guess for all intents and purposes, it is over, and no conspiracy was proven, or if it was, it too has been covered up, or played down. Like so many things that get into the public, like murder trials and the like, the facts, as reported on the interet and elsewhere, become hard to confirm if one tries. I guess that is the nature of conspiracy theories and unsolved mysteries, if they were to be solved, most would promptly forget about it, and not give a damm. It's been too long....
