Thoughts On 911

Last night, on the anniversary of the 911 attacks I was talking to a friend of mine over a couple of drinks and of course, inevitably given the date, the subject of 911 came up. He is the first person to ever say that he doesn't believe that the events of that fateful day were not pre-known to at least some people in the government, and perhaps people who could have stopped it before it happened.

I wasn't always convinced of a conspiracy, it has taken me some time to come to that conclusion, or at least that way of thinking. Who really knows? I'm just of the opinion that the possibility exists that there were people, in high places, who knew something was up in the extremist world, and perhaps let it slide for one reason or another. Certainly it has become known that authorities did know that some possibly unfriendlies were learning to fly big planes and not interested in learning to land those planes....that has to have been one big clue that slipped by the people who should have known.

It's also not outside the scope of my thinking, that some high ranking people in government, were prepared to 'let things happen' in order to use that to their own ambitions. It certainly was horrific enough to gain all the support needed to send troops to the Middle East, and to garner support from allied countries to join in. Afghanistan and then Iraq, two for the price of one, and off they go. Their inability to capture Bin Laden, the attack on Iraq, based on information of weapons that didn't exist.

Having said that, I find it hard to believe it. Let's face it, what country, what type of persons, would allow so much death and destruction to their citzens, in order to have a reason to carry out their own goals? But is it possible that those 'in the know' to use what some would describe as a Masonic term, let things happen, just not expecting the attacks to be as successful or horrific as they turned out to be?

I dunno....but I hope I am still around when the freedom of information rules kick in, and the events and official records of the days leading up to 911 are made available to the public. I think their may be some interesting reports and memos to read....

In the meantime, although it seems forgotten by some, the hunt for Osama Bin Laden continues, and he continues to elude capture. Perhaps because he is already dead or captured, perhaps because no one is looking in the right place, and perhaps, as I have said before, it is not in the best interests of some to capture or kill him at all. Better he is still out there, to give reason to the continued occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq.

My friend says he can't believe that, cannot accept that a fellow American, or Americans, would allow such an attack to happen, allow the murder of so many innocent people, in order to wage war. I hope not, but to date, I am not convinced......

The towers were brought down by demolition experts.
The planes and jet fueled fires were simply a smoke show.
The steel girders and beams simply could not come down by way of fire and collapse of the top floors pan caking down.
The cement yes but the steel, not a chance.
It is not rocket science.
Common knowledge to any good welder.
There must be thousands of people who have this simple knowledge but why aren't more of them speaking out?
