Barack Obama's Genealogy He's Related....

When we talk about mysterious societies the subject of lineage comes up quite often. Fathers passing on to sons the 'secrets' of their organizations as sons follow their fathers into organizations like the Masonic Lodge etc. Of course the entire idea of organizations like the Piory de Sion, Masons, Knight's Templars, Skull and Bones and of course, The Illuminati is based on family connections.

The idea of an organization like the Illuminati, made up of powerful families from all over the world, controlling world events for centuries is hard to swallow. But as we learn more and more about family connections and geneaologies, it becomes a little easier to swallow.

For example, I just read in the latest edition of Time , that Barack Obama is distantly related to Vice President Dick Cheney and President George W. Bush, with ties going back to the 1600's...think about that....

I also came across an article written by Ewen MacAskill, from The Guardian that says:

"Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, founded in 1845, said Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six US presidents his cousins: both Bushes, Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson, Harry Truman and James Madison. The society, a non-profit organisation, found he is also related to Churchill."

On the other side of the coin so to speak, John McCain is apparently trying to find a connection to the line himself, suggesting he is related to Robert The Bruce, the Scottish King. The Guradian article says:

"The Republican candidate, John McCain, had claimed to be related to the Scottish king Robert the Bruce but, as the Guardian disclosed last week, British genealogists debunked that. The New England genealogists found no royal strain either but established yet another Bush connection: McCain is a sixth cousin of the first lady, Laura Bush."

So...does anyone else ever stop and think about how it comes to be that these folks are all somehow or other related, or at least connected? One article suggests that if you go back into anyone's history you will eventually find a connection...uh-huh..suggesting that a lot of folks can trace their roots back to the New England area. Yes, I suppose that is possible, but c'mon, not everyone started in New England did they? I have traced my family tree and I'm dammed if I can come up with any rich people, or royalty, although I think some of my family might have been rum-runners at one point during prohibition. The rest have just been working class folks.

So I find it hard to buy into the 'we're all related somewhere' idea that is propagated by people who I believe are trying to dispell the idea of a family connection among the rulers and movers and shakers of the world. Does anyone else wonder how it is that all these families seem to be connected? That's not to say that they all agree with each other, or that they are even working together, but they are connected. In my opinion, speculative and imaginative though it might be, I cannot help but wonder what if anything it means.

The Time article, The Family Obama, by Amanda Ripley says that Obama's father was born in Kenya, and married a girl from Kansas...both a long way from New England...or were they....

I like that. "Stop and think." Doubt we will ever see that slogan for a Presidential candidate. Seems to me like more resources are spent trying to keep people from stopping or thinking than fixing anything. People who wish to actually educate the public to what is going on are restricted to do so on websites like these which are hidden to those who do not seek the truth. So for those of us who do stop to think I believe it is our job to do the research, learn what we can, and keep spreading the knowledge that we take in because we cannot count on anyone else to do the thinking for us.
