Kennedy Conspiracy and More....

I wrote about the John F Kennedy murder before so I am not going to go all through it again tonight. But....I watched the telelvision show again last night, on I believe PBS but not sure, that featured among others, television news reporter Dan Rather, who covered the story back in 1963.

I dunno....I realize that it is possible to create conspiracy theories fairly easily, especially when someone like Kennedy is killed. But, the more I read or see of this case, the more unanswered questions arise, and the more things come to mind that seem to point to more people involved than what makes it to the official record.

Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin, or alledged assassin, is a mystery man in and of himself. Rumors linking him to Castro, the Mafia, the CIA, Russia. The more you know about the guy, the less likely it seems he was just a nut with a gun. Yes, he might have been a nut, but was someone pulling his strings?

The actual aftermath of the shooting, and Oswald's murder by a known mafia person, Jack Ruby. It seems to me that the Dallas police and FBI and whomever else was in charge in those days following the shooting were either a bunch of bumbling idiots, or were skillfully manipulating the reports and findings of what really happened.

The days of the public being told by officials what is happening and them believing it, lock stock and barrel are over, at least I hope. Of course I say that and Iraq immediately comes to mind, does it for you?

The more I know about the JFK assassination, the more I believe that there were forces at work that day in Dallas. Forces that were controlling or trying to control political events in the United States, and given the power and influence of the United States, particularly at that time, one wonders if they weren't trying to control world events as well.

Was Kennedy going against the grand plan? Was he a worry to them, to those who are really in control? Perhaps, he was different as a President, and he was, or at least seemed to be his own man. Maybe he crossed the paths of the wrong part of the establishment, not unlike what is being said by some when describing what they feel really happened to the late Princess Diana.

But...conspiracy theories, by there speculative and very difficult to prove nature, are easy to create and tend to spread like wildfire. People look for reasons why seemingly random, seemingly unfair things happen. It might be that it is human nature for us not to believe that bad things happen to good people, but they do, all the time. Most of them without a conspiracy behind them.

On the other hand, why, do these untimely deaths happen to so many of the much loved people, people who are doing something to shape the world, as opposed to just feeding off of it. Princess Diana, called the "Queen of Hearts" because of her exceeding popularity with the people, a popularity that at times outshadowed that of the real Queen and the Royal Family...she was one. President John F Kennedy was another, popular, young, with change on his mind....was another, as was his younger brother.

We cannot forget the others who have suffered similar fates, like Martin Luther King, and for that matter President Abraham Lincoln. There was a man who in the eyes of some, as he fought the Civil War, was bucking an element of society who's beliefs did not agree with others.

Benazir Bhutto is another, one of the most recent, someone who, for whatever reason, became a target of zealots, or perhaps, others not particularly known as zealots or radicals.

on perhaps a grander scale, in terms of numbers, the fate of the Knight's Templars on March 13, 1307, when the Pope, through called for an end to their existence and they were rounded up, tortured and many were killed. A little different perhaps, not exactly an assaination, but it could be described as a conspiracy and the underlying theme exists. Go against the grain of the establishment and find yourself...well..out of the picture. The difference with the Templars is that there was less need for a conspiracy when a royal edict will do.

According to the Holy Blood, Holy Grail around about 1306 the Templars had run up against the establishment themselves, by becoming to wealthy, too popular and too powerful. They had fallen out of favor with the French King, Philippe IV, who wanted them gone. Talk about your conspiracies, the King organized and assassination of not one, but two popes, in order to have one in place, Clement V, who was sympathetic to his cause. What followed was a collection of charges and accusations that led to the demise of the Templar Order, at least as it was known. For more about this, have a look at the Holy Blood and The Holy Grail and some of the books found here!

As I write this tonight, I realize rather suddenly the similarities between the people I mentioned above, and another famous leader, a mover and shaker of his time. I'm referring to the story of Jesus Christ. Another leader, who depending on your point of view and beliefs could be said to have been assassinated for bucking the establishment. Was that a conspiracy? I suppose it was....

Piss off the wrong people and they take you out....

So, I started out tonight on the assassination of President John F Kennedy, and ended up back in 1307 with the Knights Templar....we do get around here at Mysterious Societies.

This doesn't make sense, why are quoting and refering to The Templar Knights? They were the equivalant of organized crime, and failed and their real job of protecting holy land sites, those books are ficyion. And finally you can't protect a holy grail for something that never exsisted.
